Rowe Partners Financial Planning is the financial planning division of Rowe Partners Accountants & Business Advisors, a mid-tier accounting firm est. in 1989 with 5 Partners and over 45 staff located in offices at Port Augusta, Port Pirie, Modbury, and Murray Bridge. Our priority is to offer our extensive range of expert financial advisory services to existing Rowe Partners accounting clients. We have much work to do!

Based in our modern offices in Modbury and serving clients from all over, you’ll join a fantastic team of finance industry professionals delivering tangible results. Under the leadership of Certified Financial Planner and Partner, Blake Halligan, and with the support of both a Paraplanner and Financial Planner Assistant, you will engage in meaningful work that contributes directly to the financial wellbeing and improved wealth position of our valued clients.

About you

 

The successful candidate will be a highly experienced financial planning professional. Your natural leadership skills, engaging and authentic personality will set you apart as will your work ethic, alignment with our organisational values and a desire to work as part of a team. Your commitment to building long-term business relationships with co-workers and clients alike will be apparent. You will be able to work independently but you won’t be an island. You’ll be well supported, well remunerated and in future may potentially be offered the opportunity to become an equity partner in the financial planning business.

To be successful in this challenging role, you will need to:

  • Be initiative-taking and motivated

  • Have a min 6 years’ experience in financial planning and/or insurance

  • Have met the FASEA exam and education requirements, or are actively working towards this

  • Preferably hold tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or commerce

  • Ideally be CFP® qualified

  • Currently hold an Authorised Representative status with an AFSL and be up to date with CPD points

  • Be committed to the highest ethical and professional standards

  • Have a thorough understanding of contemporary financial planning strategies, sound technical proficiency in financial planning and experience in the current Australian financial planning environment

  • Experience and qualifications recognised for practice in Australia is essential (overseas financial planning qualifications or experience will not be considered)

  • Enjoy sales, be success-driven and client-centered

  • Possess excellent English proficiency (both spoken and written) and outstanding interpersonal communication skills

  • Have well-developed organisational and time management skills including expert knowledge of financial planning software including XPlan and MS Office

  • The ability to work autonomously and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to delegate and provide clear instructions to support staff

  • The capacity to listen and fully understand our clients’ goals and objectives

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing clear and concise financial advice documents based on accurate calculations, sound modelling and projections

  • Be able to provide evidence of unblemished compliance record, clear police record and current, open South Australian driver’s licence with your own, late-model motor vehicle

  • Confidence to consult with a diverse group of clients from everyday mum and dad investors to high-net-worth individuals

  • Diligence and ability to maintain accurate client records

  • Experience in preparing insurance quotes and the ability to research and analyse financial products including superannuation, investments, and insurance policies

  • Capacity and commitment to monitoring work to ensure that Rowe Partners Financial Planning continues to meet all compliance and regulatory obligations

 

A salary package commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

Financial Adviser Assistant/Client Services Officer

Full-time position, Modbury

 

We’re super busy and need the help of an experienced and dedicated financial service professional to join us as a Financial Advisor Assistant.

Rowe Partners Financial Planning launched onto the South Australian financial services landscape in 2018 and has grown rapidly since. It is the in-house financial planning division of Rowe Partners Accountants, a successful mid-tier South Australian accounting practice est. in 1989 and employing over 45 staff. Rowe Partners has offices located at Port Augusta, Port Pirie, Modbury and Murray Bridge. We are client-centered and forward-thinking, always seeking to provide the highest standard of service and advice. Rowe Partners Financial Planning provides a comprehensive range of financial services and expertise.

The role

Based in our modern offices in Modbury, this challenging and rewarding role will suit a results-driven individual seeking a career in financial services, not just a job. Though full-time is preferred, part-time will be considered for the right person. We expect that through your help to grow the business, this role and responsibilities will expand.

Under the guidance of Partner and Senior Financial Planner Blake Halligan, the Financial Advisor Assistant is a critically important role. You will work alongside our Paraplanner to provide outstanding support to our Financial Planners to achieve tangible and highly satisfactory results for our clients. Thus, your ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure, and autonomously will serve you well and ensure you grow and develop in your chosen career.

The person

Ideally, you should have:

  • 2-3 years experience in a client service role in a financial services environment

  • Experience in preparation of financial planning documentation for client meetings

  • The ability to manage the advice generation process including submission to our paraplanners

  • A friendly and engaging disposition and a desire to contribute positively to our team

  • Experience in pre-populating client forms, implementing financial plans, and client record maintenance

  • A strong understanding of workflows, time management, and the ability to prioritise your tasks to meet deadlines

  • Diligence, excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Confidence to liaise with clients from all walks of life and a range of internal and external service providers

  • Solid technical knowledge of financial planning strategies and the advice process

  • Working knowledge of common financial services industry software such as XPlan and MS Office

  • Experience in preparing insurance quotes and the ability to research and analyse financial products including superannuation, investments, and insurance policies

  • An understanding of Australian finance industry compliance and regulatory obligations and an ability to help monitor the work we’re doing within a compliance context.

 

A salary package commensurate with skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

About you

To be successful in this challenging  role, you will need to have:

  • A positive attitude and a genuine interest in a long-term career

  • Demonstrated experience in preparing clear and concise financial advice documents.

  • Sound understanding of key financial planning concepts, advice processes, strategies, and current industry software (i.e., XPlan, MS Office)

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Well-developed organisational and time management skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, or commerce (this is not essential but would be highly regarded)

  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role in Australia, including a minimum of 1 years experience preparing SoAs and RoAs

  • The ability to work autonomously and excellent problem-solving skills

  • Confidence to interact with a diverse group of clients from everyday mum and dad investors to high-net-worth individuals and members of our external professional network.

  • Diligence and ability to maintain accurate client records

  • Experience in preparing insurance quotes and the ability to research and analyse financial products including superannuation, investments, and insurance policies

  • Understanding of Australian finance industry compliance and Australian regulatory obligations and a commitment to helping ensure our team continues to meet them
